Customized Performance Rebate (CPR)
The Water Smart CPR is to improve water use efficiency and support water conservation initiatives such as installing water efficient devices and technologies for commercial, industrial and institutional customers.
The Water Smart CPR incentivizes water efficiency projects included but not limited to:
- Custom design of on-site water reuse projects
- Replacement of less water efficient equipment with new high efficiency equipment
- Improving cooling tower water usage operations
- Comprehensive changes to industrial processes that reduce water consumption per unit of output
- Improvement to existing irrigation systems
Rebate requirements:
- Applications must be PRE-QUALIFIED
- A minimum savings of 100,000 gallons annually
- A pre-project installation inspection to verify existing conditions, water usage and saving opportunities is required.
- Project completion within six months of application approval. An extension may be requested 30 days before the due date.
- Upon completion receipts for labor and materials must be submitted.
- Customers must schedule a post inspection within 30 days of project completion
Rebate is $10 per unit of water (748 gallons) saved in 12 months and can cover 50% of project cost or up to $50,000 whichever is lower.
The final rebate credit will be based on water savings calculated at final review one year (12 monthly billing cycles) after the project completion date. Upon verification of savings, a credit will be adjusted to your account(s) within two billing cycles.
