Fire Hydrant Meter Permit Application – (For Businesses)
To provide convenient access to water from fire hydrants, the Water Authority issues Fire Hydrant Meter Permits to qualified applicants needing water for construction and other projects. Click the Green Top Map, Conditions of Service or Fee Information link or call (505) 289-3066 for more details.
Upon receipt of your permit application, the Water Authority will review it and contact you within 3 business days. If your application is approved a required payment of $3,241.50 ($3,000.00 Loss/Damage & Payment Surety Deposit plus a non-refundable $241.50 connection fee) must be made prior to the issuance of the meter.

Once we receive the two completed forms below and you have made your initial payment we will schedule an appointment for you to pick up your Fire Hydrant Meter.

- Deposit Agreement Form
- Designated Agent Form (You will need to upload copies of your: 1: Owner’s Dr. License, 2: Agent’s Dr. License & 3: NM Contractor’s License.)
Currently Using a Fire Hydrant Meter? – (If Yes, be sure you send us monthly meter reads)
Meter readings must be submitted between the 1st and 10th day of the calendar month for usage during the previous calendar month:
