Draw an arrow showing how we separate these things out. Just remember, that the trash should not have come to us. We have to get it out of the wastewater and then truck it out to the garbage dump.
Fats and grease clog the pipes so never pour them down the sink. Instead, you can
COOL IT (Don’t handle hot grease!)
CAN IT (Pour it into a can to store until garbage day)
CHUCK IT (put it in the trash)!
The Water Authority believes that if students experience the beauty and understand the complexity of the river ecosystem, they will want to conserve and protect our water resources. That’s why we take all APS fourth-graders on the RIO Field Trip. We even pay for the bus.
APS schools are notified in spring of the date(s) they are scheduled to attend the RIO Field Trip the following year. If you have questions about the date(s) your school is scheduled to attend, please call Erin Keck at 289-3027 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please fill in this form to confirm that your school will be able attend on the date(s) you are scheduled to attend.
