Water Protection Advisory Board

NOTICE:
In response to the Governor’s declaration of a Public Health Emergency and ban on large public gatherings, the Water Protection Advisory Board meetings will be held via video conference starting at 9:00 a.m.  Members of the public have the ability to view the meeting and provide public comment by joining the video conference.  To request login information for meetings, contact Kelsey Bicknell at kbicknell@abcwua.org or 505-289-3009.  Requests for login must be received before 8:00 a.m. on the day of the meeting.

The Water Protection Advisory Board (WPAB) was established by joint ordinance of the Water Authority, the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County.

The purpose of the WPAB is to:

The WPAB consists of nine members, two of whom are appointed by the Water Authority, three of whom are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council, and three of whom are appointed by the County Commission. One member is appointed jointly by the County Commission and the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.

The WPAB meets on the second Friday of each month at Bernalillo County Public Works, Building N Conference Room, at 8:30 a.m.
