Machines that Clean the Water - Answer

We start by getting rid of the big stuff like trash and dirt.

Then the add something that helps the tiny little silt pieces clump together.

With all that out of the water, now we find the bacteria and germs and kill them.

Before we can pump the clean water to a storage tank we add chlorine. That keeps the water clean on its journey. At the tank it is mixed with aquifer water

When you turn on your faucet you get a mix of river and aquifer water.
