ALBUQUERQUE, July 29, 2022 – Water Authority customers can now pay their water and sewer bills at a new, self-service kiosk in the lobby of the Bernalillo County building at Alvarado Square (415 Silver Ave SW).

“We’re very excited to announce this partnership with the Water Authority,” said Bernalillo County Treasurer Nancy M. Bearce.  “For customers visiting the Bernalillo County @ Alvarado Square building, as an addition to our one-stop shop model, this kiosk has created a convenient in-person payment option in the downtown area.”

“It’s a great example of intergovernmental cooperation,” said Water Authority Chairperson Klarissa M. Pena. “We appreciate the County’s offer to place the machine in their facility.”

The self-service kiosk is accessible weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Payments are accepted in cash, e-checks, and credit/debit cards.  Cash payments must be made in the exact amount desired as the kiosk does not provide change.

Free parking is available for the Alvarado Square location on the southwest corner of Fifth and Silver.

Aside from the self-service kiosk, Water Authority customers can continue to pay their bills online at, over the phone at 842-WATR (9287), by mail, at the dropbox located at 5th Street and Marquette downtown, any Western Union location, or the Water Authority’s Customer Service center at 1441 Mission Ave. in north-central Albuquerque.
