The Water Authority has resumed water turn-offs for non-payment of bills. Turn-offs had been indefinitely suspended during the Covid-19 pandemic but the utility is now returning to normal business operations. Any customer who is in jeopardy of having their water turned off will be informed in advance via a letter (turn-off warning) from the Water Authority’s Customer Service division.

If you have received a turn-off warning letter, or if your water has already been turned off for non-payment, you are urged to CONTACT THE WATER AUTHORITY’S CUSTOMER SERVICE DIVISION IMMEDIATELY at 505-842-WATR (9287), Option 0. We can assist you in setting up a payment arrangement and, if your water has already been turned off, in getting service restored to your property as quickly as possible.

If your water has already been turned off, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TURN IT BACK ON YOURSELF! Tampering with a meter that has been turned off for non-payment is against the law and will affect your eligibility to set up a payment arrangement!

Customer service representatives are available to take your call during regular business hours. You can also visit our Customer Service offices in person between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM weekdays. We are located in the Renaissance Center at 1441 Mission Ave. NE.
