Learning about Water Conservation is crucial for our students if we want them to become responsible citizens. But who has time to stay up-to-date on water issues, create curriculum, and tie it to the Standards and Benchmarks? We do!

Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority offers free, hands-on water presentations that are tied to the Standards and Benchmarks for grade 1-12. For elementary presentation info, click here. For secondary presentations info, click here. Call Katie Babuska 975-0036 or email

We are particularly proud to sponsor the annual Water Festival for fourth grade students. To learn more about it, you can read an article about the 2008 Water Festival, written by students at Albuquerque's School on Wheels. Or, visit the Water Festival web site. Although the festival occurs in the fall, applications for the 2009 Water Festival will be accepted March through August of 2009. |

The Water Authority offers free classroom publications and videos, which we bring to classrooms when we do presentations. In addition, you can order free materials here.
We have a new activity book to teach students in grades 1-3 about water conservation. If you would like a complimentary copy of this activity book, call Sharon Sivinski at 768-3245, or email
