Our education program is free and open to all public, private, home school and community groups with students in grades K-12, located in the ABCWUA service area. This includes all students attending schools that are part of Albuquerque Public Schools. All activities are hands-on, and a water resource educator can present in your classroom or to your community group as long as there are at least 10 students and no more than 35 students. Classes can be combined or split, but the final number must stay in the 10-35 student range. The goal is to ensure that all students get a chance to participate in a meaningful way! Our presentation policy is to present to all classes in a grade, so please discuss this with the other teachers in your grade level to make sure they are on board. Please communicate to all participating teachers that a teacher or school employee must be present in the classroom at all times during the presentation.
The puppet show this year is entitled, “Water Magic and Tricks,” and covers standards and benchmarks for grades K-2 relating to how plants and animals use water. Puppet show audiences are best when they are between 40 – 80 students, and we request that we do two shows at a school, in any combination of We look forward to meeting you in the future.
