The 2011Water Follies Show: Scary Water-Wasting Stories
This year's puppet show is all about the connection between water and electricity. The Conservation Critters, Super Bat, Josephina Javelina, Raven, and Mr T (the spadefoot toad) teach the students how to save water, electricity, and heat. We take on the bad guys like vampire appliances, the water hog, conservation monsters, and the creature from the blackwater sewer. Our free puppet shows are available on Mondays and Wednesdays for grades K - 2 classrooms, October 2011 through May 2012. The show is about 40 minutes long and works best for groups of 40 to 80 students. (We also hand out free coloring books that help kids remember what they learned in the show!)
Here is what principal Steven Tognoni, Principal at East San Jose Elementary School, had to say after watching the show:
"I truly enjoyed the show on water conservation. The TPR (Total Physical Response) model that you used was something that I feel works great with children . . . I would highly recommend the program to any school in APS."
