The 2014-15 Scary Water (and Electricity) Wasting Stories!
This year's puppet show is a collection of scary stories about wasting water and electricity. Students meet the vampire appliances that use electricity even when you're not using them. They also meet GenR8R Hero who uses water to make electricity. It wouldn't be complete without stories of the Water Hog Monsters and the Creature from the Black Water Sewer. Students learn that when they save electricity, they are saving water and when they save water they are saving electricity. Click here to see the Common Core and NexGen Standards.
Our free puppet show for grades K - 2 works best for audiences of 40 - 80 students. It lasts about 30 minutes. We leave free coloring books that remind students about the lessons they learned in theh show. .
Here is what principal Steven Tognoni, Principal at East San Jose Elementary School, had to say after watching the show:
"I truly enjoyed the show on water conservation. The TPR (Total Physical Response) model that you used was something that I feel works great with children . . . I would highly recommend the program to any school in APS."
