| Public Meeting on Aquifer Storage and Recovery |

On Dec. 3, 2011, the Water Authority held a meeting to provide information to the public and solicit feedback and questions on the Authority’s plans to implement Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) as part of its long-term Water Resources Management Strategy. ASR is a method in use in many communities in the United States and around the world by which surplus surface water is stored in the underground aquifer for later use. The Water Authority is in the early planning stages for a pilot ASR project using direct injection into the aquifer near its surface-water treatment plant. For those unable to attend the public meeting, and for those who had additional questions following the meeting, the links below are provided for your convenience.
If you have questions about ASR after reviewing the posted materials, please email them to David Morris, Water Authority Public Affairs Manager, at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it |
