How Do I Cancel Service? If you are selling/purchasing a property, please inquire with your title company to facilitate payoff of final water bills between the seller and buyer. If you are a tenant, contact your property manager, landlord or the property owner regarding any balances due for water upon you moving. If you are the property owner and wish to stop all base charges for water, please contact customer service at (505) 842-9287 to request a Meter Removal Form. If you are a property manager or listing agent a signed copy of the listing agreement showing you have authorization to act on the owners behalf must be completed.
NOTE: Property owners are responsible for any and all water, sewer, and refuse charges incurred by tenants occupying their property. While owners can make tenant payment of utilities part of their rental or lease agreement, the owner will be responsible for any outstanding charges left by the tenant. NOTE: IF YOU ARE BEING CHARGED TRASH SERVICES ON YOUR ABCWUA BILL AND WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL THESE SERVICES AS WELL, YOU MUST CONTACT SOLID WASTE AT 761-8100.
