Tapping Permits may be obtained from the ABCWUA, New Services located at 600 2nd Street NW, in the Plaza del Sol building, first floor.  The permit cost is $50.00 each.  Before permits will be issued, the water and/or sanitary sewer account must be established by the property owner where the new service is desired.  Tapping Permits will only be issued to licensed and bonded contractors that are currently on the City of Albuquerque’s Construction Coordination Division listing. 

Contractors must provide the address, size of service, contact name and phone number in the Tapping Permit request.

Tapping Permit Requests may be called in, e-mailed, faxed, or hand delivered to the Water Authority.
