The ABCWUA offers free classes to water utility customers to provide practical information and guidance in drought efficient landscape irrigation through two different classes. Classroom holds 250 – No reservations, first come first seated policy. Bring a pen or pencil.) Drought Smart Water Class*Provides suggestions on how to best support your landscape during our current extended drought and how to determine when to water, how often, and how long to run your system. Discussion includes information on irrigation controller programming, landscape design, system upgrades and maintenance. *Receive a $20 Credit on Your Water Bill for Attending Class
Basics of Drip IrrigationLearn how basic drip irrigation works. A useful class if you have inherited a drip system, but are unsure how it is supposed to work, or you want to put in a new drip system. You will learn how long and how often to operate it, how to maintain it, and how to install a drip system that matches your landscape needs. Note: No Credit on Your Water Bill for the Drip Class.
