Over the past several years, the Water Authority has received many complaints about sewer odors in homes connected to North Valley sewer lines in “downstream” neighborhoods including the Downtown, Wells Park, Barelas and Raynolds Addition areas. To address these problems, we have determined that an “upstream” odor control facility that will treat the sewer lines running south from 2nd Street NW and 4th Street NW would be most effective.
