Water is crucial to our quality of life. Living in the desert, we understand that we must conserve water in order to protect our environment, our economy, and our society.
Now we need to conserve water even more. The Water Authority, which must reduce per-capita water consumption under state requirements for the San Juan-Chama Drinking Water Project, has set a usage goal of 150 gallons per person per day by 2014. The goal for 2009 is 159 gallons per person. To help people learn how to reduce their water use, we have educational programs for just about everyone! Teachers!
