Bernalillo (pronounced ber-na-LEE-oh) County, which includes the City of Albuquerque, encompasses much of New Mexico's largest metropolitan area. A dynamic, multicultural community of more than half a million people, it is nestled in the shadow of the ruggedly spectacular Sandia Mountains. Large enough to have big-city amenities -- including an international airport and a major university -- it's also small enough to retain its Southwestern charm. Named the No. 1 "Best Place for Business and Careers" by Forbes Magazine in 2006, Albuquerque offers a unique opportunity to live and work in a beautifil place, uniquely shaped by its Native American, Hispanic, and European heritage.
